Thank you for helping us in our green efforts! Under the guidance of SAVE Club members, you will help the school by collecting recyclables around the building (and possibly outside) and dumping them into the smaller red single-stream recycling dumpster outside. Be sure to return each bin to the proper office or classroom. Please contact Mrs. Jacks in the counseling office with questions. Meet in the counseling reception office at the start of Lunch A on the day you volunteered. We recognize there are many commitments that students may have on any given day. If you signed up for this event, please make it and keep it a priority if/when other opportunities arise. When volunteers repeatedly cancel, garbage can accumulate around the building, which is not a great look for our community. On a related note, if you have any at-risk grades and/or are returning from repeated absences and need to meet with a teacher, please do that instead of this service event. Just let Mrs. Jacks know.
The time is listed as 11:06 am-11:36 am, which is the time for a normal schedule Lunch A, but please note that the service ends when the task is complete and the SAVE Club leader has dismissed all volunteers. This may take more or less than the 30 mintues posted. Also, if DLS is running a special schedule for early dismissal, late start, or other schedule for career day (etc), please use the start time on that special schedule for Lunch A.
If you are absent or otherwise unable to perform this event, please notify Mrs. Jacks as soon as possible.
