My name is Sophia Borowski and I am an intern with the Detroit Sports Commission.  I am reaching out as we are looking for volunteer groups to assist us with welcoming this year's 45th annual National Veteran Wheelchair Games to Detroit. It is a great opportunity for students, so I wanted to put it out there to see if there would be any potential interest! Attached is a one-pager and guided instructions that can provide more information on the games, volunteer opportunities, and how to register. Also, below is the messaging that is being shared with you, in case you would like to share with additional groups or individuals that may be interested. The Detroit Sports Commission is looking for volunteer groups to assist us with welcoming the National Veteran Wheelchair Games to Detroit. Volunteers will be needed from July 8, 2026 - July 15, 2026. 

How to Register: Click the link below: 45th National Veterans Wheelchair GamesSelect "Detroit Sports Commission Volunteers"Select the tabs (+) and check the box of the shifts you would like to serve.Available shifts include: Administration, Hospitality, Logistics, Sporting Events, or Special EventsCreate a profile when prompted.Enter your information in the required fields.Be sure to list your "Organization" if representing a team/group (i.e. Detroit Sports Commission)When asked to finalize registration with initials, enter: First letter of your first name + First letter of your last name (i.e. Sophia Borowski = SB) Submit your registration.
